Jo Breen

jo-breen.jpgJo Breen has established a strong career in Shepparton over 30 years, across a range of organisations and senior roles. Jo is currently the PR, Marketing and Fundraising Manager at Shepparton Retirement Villages with a background in journalism that began at the Kyabram Free Press after a very short stint at teacher’s college. Appointed the first female Editor of a regional daily newspaper, the Shepparton News, Jo held many senior roles with the McPherson Media Group, and has won a number of industry awards in news and marketing. She has an advanced Diploma of Business Management, and has also worked on the executive team with not for profit national organisation, the Beacon Foundation for five years, assisting young people in schools with career pathways.


Cheryl Hammer

cheryl-hammer.jpgIn 2001, Cheryl started her lavender farm, Woodlands Estate Lavender in Cosgrove, a boutique farming business which became a tourist destination and a favourite among locals. After 10 years at the farm Cheryl moved her business to establish a retail shop, tea house and self contained accommodation in the two historic churches on site. Cheryl is a past president and board member of industry group, Tourism Greater Shepparton, and is the Shepparton skills based board director on the regional tourism board, Goulburn River Valley Tourism.  Today she is relishing her role as the CEO of The Community Fund Goulburn Valley where she heads up the fundraising, grant allocation and social impact programs the Fund is responsible for. Her can do attitude and ability to bring people together for a common cause has served her and the people she collaborates with very well.


Danni Whitaker

Danni-Whitaker.jpgDanni Whitaker has no greater pleasure than having the opportunity to change women’s lives through women’s fitness on a daily basis.  In 2004 Danni opened the doors of her brand new Fernwood club in Yarraville and within the first 6 months had over 1000 members.  The club won Club of the Year in both 2005/2006.   In 2014 Danni took over Fernwood Shepparton and after some needed repair and rebuilding of the brand, the club now houses over 1000 local ladies in a brand new facility.   Danni’s success has come from building a strong team, committing to coaching daily and ensuring she has the right people on her bus that have the same goals and visions As a mother of 2 children, aged 6 and 4 years she knows all too well the constraints women face, however believes when there is passion and a clear goal anything can be achieved.
